The Maccabi Games are more human than the World Cup
Sarah Poewe and Rebecca Landshut are both Jewish – and top athletes. They will both participate in the European Maccabi Games 2015 in Berlin. The EMG will take place in Germany for the first time: in Berlin, in the venue of the Nazis’ Olympic Games in 1936.

Berlin loves sports – also in 2015. Several football teams of Berlin compete against each other. Furthermore, there are highlights like the Champions League final or the ISTAF, both taking place in the Olympic Park, just like the EMG2015.

Cindi Rose Wylie to Coach U.S. Team at 2015 European Maccabi Games
Cindi Rose Wylie from Georgetown, MA, has been appointed Team Trainer for the U.S. Dressage Team that compete at the 2015 European Maccabi Games for Jewish athletes, which will take place in Berlin, Germany in July 2015.

Alon Meyer knows how they should be: “We don’t want competitions taking place without the people noticing, we want to open up.” Meyer wants to show that Jews are a self-evident part of Germany.
